Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah is an Indian actor, playback vocalist as well as a musician. She works mostly in Tamil as well as Malayalam film productions in the language. She first made an appearance with the Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam and Malayalam debut with Annayum raolum. Andrea Jeremiah grew up in an Anglo-Indian home in Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Andrea's father was a Madras High Court lawyer. Her younger sister is that lives in Leuven Belgium as a research assistant. Jeremiah was born in Chennai and attended National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. Andrea started classical piano lessons at age eight, has been described as an "geek" and aspired to be a psychiatrist until she passed the 12th grade exam. Young Stars, a Jackson Five group that she joined at the age of 10 formed her base for musical and vocal. At her school, she was performing as a theatre artist. She was also in numerous stage productions organised through The Madras Players. Andrea was President of the Student Senate at Women's Christian College. Andrea's theatre career began by performing with actor Girishkarnad Nagamandala. She was featured in a leo commercial for coffee alongside actor Shiva in the year 2006. The actress was also part of the series which was broadcast on Podhigai. The actress has appeared all over India. She had a short role in the finale of Kanda Naal Mudhal (2005). She sang a song for Gautham Vasudev's Vettaiyaadu. The director asked her to join his lead female characters in Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea played Kalyani, a housewife whose husband has been involved in an affair. She was targeted for blackmail. Andrea was cast in the part after Simran and Tabu Two actresses were approached by producers. The film was released in the early part of in the 2010. She agreed in 2011 to perform a tiny support role in Venkatprabhu's multi-starrer Mankatha to be came out in August 2011. In 2013, she made her debut in Malayalam film with Rajeev Ravi's love story Annayum Rasoolum.
